Neal Adams
Ross Andru got his start in comics back in 1948, after having honed his skills drawing in animation. He brought life to Tarzan in the newspaper strips, and after partnering up with inker Mike Esposito, began work for DC. There he worked on such titles as Sgt. Rock, Batman, Flash and Superman. In 1972, he moved to Marvel, and quickly became one of their most relied upon pencilers. In addition to being one of the foremost Spider-Man artists, Andru worked on countless other characters such as Fantastic Four, X-Men and Doctor Strange. Among one of his most noteworthy achievements is penciling the first appearance of The Punisher in Amazing Spiderman Issue 129. Mr. Andru was born in 1927 and passed away in 1993.Source: www.lambiek.net
