Bob Larkin
A prolific and accomplished painter, Bob Larkin "owned" the Marvel magazine format. If you've ever seen a circa Bronze/Modern large-sized Marvel painted cover that just took your breath away, you were probably admiring the work of Bob Larkin. Among his many credits are titles such as The Savage Sword of Conan, Conan Saga, The Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu, Planet of the Apes, Tomb of Dracula and Rampaging Hulk (The Hulk Magazine). Marvel would also bring in Bob Larkin as the big guns to paint covers for premier issues of such titles as Dazzler and Crystar. Larkin is also credited with painting one of the most used and often seen iconic promo/poster images of the Hulk - that famous darkly-lit close-up of Hulk's face, gritty his teeth with his knuckles raised.Would you like to sell, buy or auction Bob Larkin original comic book artwork?
